Eastern part of Mongolia is endless grassy steppes. Even you drive there from early morning until late evening you will only have sights of wide grassy steppes edged with horizon.

The great eastern steppes are the last untouched grassland on earth and home to Mongolian antelopes, which are the most numerous mammals in Mongolia. 
The far eastern steppes are bordered with Khentii mountain range where the great Khaan Chinggis was born and grown. Many important historical events relevant to Chinggis Khaan took place there. Khentii Mountains are one of the most beautiful places with its clear rivers, streams, small and big lakes and forested mountains. The mountains have been keeping many historical remains and monasteries in its beauty. 

The southeastern part of Mongolia is called Dariganga, a country of 222 extinct volcanoes. Some of the volcanoes worshipped by Mongolians because some legendary Mongol men same as Robin Hood is from that place. There are many tales about the men that are strictly connected to spiritual volcanoes. In the area, you will visit Lhachinvandad Nature Reserve to see herds of deer and gazelles, the most eastern sand dunes of Mongolia, edge of the Mongolian Gobi desert, large and small lakes, which is home to water birds, grasslands and balbal/man stones. One of the lakes is Ganga, a fresh water lake. Every year 500-1000 swans gather from 1 October to 10 October attracts bird watchers.

Far east, northeast and southeastern part of Mongolia is a country of different ethnic groups. For example: it is possible to visit, even stay with Buriat family while you are traveling through Chinggis Khaan’s birthplace. Buriat ethnic group is renowned as hardworking people and famous for their delicious handmade bread and butter. 
People of Dariganga are famous for their silversmith. 
In Dariganga, there are a large cave Taliin Agui/ Underground Cave. It is the largest cave in steppes formed by lava bubble in the world and one of the most beautiful caves in Mongolia. Some halls of the cave are filled with permanent ice.
